The first set of photos is from the ride down and back on Route 19 from Brockport to Belfast, NY. I am always partial to barns in my photos especially if they are painted red. This is probably because I grew up on a farm near Brockport, NY.
I came across a sunflower field and had to turn around and go back to see what I could do photographically. Since the sun was getting low, I tried to get a starburst through the petals. You can really see the difference in backlighting for the first photo and having the sun on your back for the second one.

On Sunday, Oct 18 your destination was Naples, NY. We traveled down route 21 on the east side of Canandaigua Lake which is one of 10 Finger Lakes that were carved out as thin fingers by the glaciers a long time ago.
The first two photos are of a creek running through Churchville.
As you can see from quite a few photos, the Finger Lakes region is known as wine country with many wineries. But you will have to click below to see these photos.
My brother knew of a special fork in the road that would give good elevated views of the lake.

On the way back we had many more incredible views. My brother said this was one of the best years for color that he can remember.

I love pictures of rural farms with their red barns and fences. You have captured the beauty and serenity of just that. The sunflowers are another favorite as they photograph so well. Great photos as always.
