Crested Butte, CO is supposed to be the flower capital of the Rocky Mountains. We were only able to spend an afternoon and morning exploring and we did find many flowers. They have lots of trails for biking and hiking. We only traveled a few of the roads and found many flowers along the roads. Yellow daisy like flowers were in abundance and we found an excellent large patch of lupines with other flowers which were not identified. In the afternoon we took the Gothic Road to the camp at Gothic. This gives many panoramic views of the valley below and winds through aspen trees. We were on this same road several years ago in the fall. In the morning we took a road to Slate Lake and then another to Peanut Lake.
That is beautiful!
Thanks for the comment and glad that you enjoyed the photos. It sure was a wonderful experience to be there.
Charles,
God sure did make a beautiful world and you and Joanne have been very blessed to be able to see much of it. The pictures are breath-taking and those Colorado skies are unforgettable. I remember them well from a vacation long ago. Again, thanks for sharing.

Charles: Your pictures brought back many memories of a couple of trips to Colorado that Jerry and I made many moons ago. I especially am attracted to your barn/fence picture. Ooo la la in my book.
