Sierra Nevadas Fall Color: Part 2

October 16-19

We spent two nights in Lee Vining, CA which is considered the eastern gateway to Yosemite National Park. We did not go over the Tioga Pass road, but went up it partially to see if there were any color spots. At least as far as we went there was not much color.

We went up the US 395 and came to the Lundy Lake Road which was much more colorful. Click to see more.

We continued on to Bridgeport and took Route 420 to Twin Lakes, although I never saw any dividing line between the lakes. We did have a nice lunch with a view at the end of the lake.

The following day we continued to travel north on 395 and had some nice views of the Walker River.

Topaz Lake was as far as we went on 395 and will be the end of Part 2.
